MY HOME
I've always been an Alaska girl at heart! I was born and raised in Interior Alaska. I do my work both in Alaska, Los Angeles, New Mexico, and abroad for projects. Ever since I was a little girl I've loved creativity and imagination. Over time, I gained experience in acting, ballet, piano, photography, modeling, filmmaking, and directing.
Spending time surrounded by nature, adventures, late-night campfires, and long summer nights are some of my favorite comforts. I draw a lot of my inspiration from fellow Alaskans and my surroundings.
INDIVIDUAL ARTIST PROJECT AWARD
I'm very honored and excited that the Rasmuson Foundation's has awarded me with one of their Project Awards.
The funding from Rasumson went towards creating a short film, Hollow, that focuses on the inner struggles of feeling defeated and lost. This project was an amazing experience to express ideas with natural visuals.
NETFLIX & ADOBE
One of my most recent accomplishments is creating and directing my short film Last to the Wild, produced by Netflix and Adobe as part of winning the national competition, The Great Untold. I went on this journey of telling my Alaskan story with my mentor, Maisie Richardson-Sellers, and my sister, Keziah Anderson.
The entire behind the scenes process has been documented by director, Nada Hallgren in a documentary which you can watch now along with my short film.
LAST TO THE WILD
Last to the Wild is a short film that I co-wrote and directed for The Great Untold produced my Netflix and Adobe. I'm so excited to share this personal story through my view points of being a young adult living in Alaska. I'm proud to say that all of my main cast and crew on my set are fellow Alaskan actors and filmmakers. The film focuses on a young man, Jessie, who has lived his entire life surrounded by friends in the beautiful Alaskan landscape. But as his friends decide to leave Alaska behind, he is left to contemplate what home means to him.
